My Granola Template

This is my go-to granola template.
Ingredients:
3 cups rolled oats
2 cups chopped nuts/seeds
½ - 1 tsp salt
1-2 tsp spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger
¼ cup maple syrup or honey
¼ cup coconut or olive oil
Splash of vanilla
*Extras: shredded coconut, dried fruit, chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine dry ingredients - oats, nuts/seeds, salt and spices - in a large bowl. Combine all wet ingredients - maple syrup, oil and vanilla - in a separate bowl (or measuring cup). Add wet mixture to dry. Mix well. Spread onto a baking tray in an even layer. Bake for about 30 minutes (until golden brown and fragrant).
Let granola cool on the pan. When completely cool, transfer to an air-tight container for storage.
*Note: If using shredded coconut and/or dried fruit, add to the pan in last 5 minutes of baking as these will burn quickly. If using chocolate chips, add once granola has cooled completely.
